Josh’s Reaper Midge – Making It Official

This past February, I had the amazing opportunity to have a write-up featured in none other than Orvis News blog. It was on the tailwater tactics, and the birth of a midge dry fly/emerger I developed for such waters. The pattern, Josh’ Reaper Midge, caught the attention of Orvis fly guru Shawn Brillon. After some tweaking behind the Regal, I sent in some samples for the folks at Orvis to get a better look at. It’s been hard to keep the secret this long, but I’m humbly excited to announce the newest Dead Drift Outfitters fly in the Orvis tactical fly lineup! The pattern will come in European sizes 14 and 16, and in colors pink, purple, and orange. Look for them in January 2016!
